Freezing temperatures

With the freezing temperatures predicted over the next week, don’t forget to turn off your sprinkler system. It is good idea to have your rain/freeze sensor tested or have a sensor installed if your controller doesn’t have one. Most cities require irrigation systems to have rain/freeze sensors installed.

Lake levels

10/22/13 With the recent rain fall, lake levels did not change much. Lavon went up 1.3 inches and is at 48% full, Chapman did not gain at all. The pipeline to bring water from Texoma to the Wylie treatment plant is estimated to be completed late spring of 2014. Water restrictions will continue until Lavon and Chapman are refilled.
